Mathematical Supremacy Continues
Ormiston College has reaffirmed its mathematical dominance by securing the overall win in the Maths Team Challenge, once again. The competition, held on Thursday 13 July at Moreton Bay College, saw many rival schools vying to dethrone Ormiston College from its winning streak.
Fierce Competition and Team Structure
The participating teams faced intense competition that was divided into two segments; a team round and a relay round. Ormiston College’s representation was robust with two Junior teams (Year 7/8), two Intermediate teams (Year 9/10), and one Senior team (Year 10/12).
Score Breakdown and Success across categories
Ormiston’s Senior team clinched first place overall, scoring an impressive 90/100 in the team challenge and 92/100 in the relay round. The Intermediate teams showed great tenacity and secured third place, achieving scores of 110/150 in the team challenge and 91/100 in the relay round. Meanwhile, the Junior teams triumphed with a score of 135/150 in the team challenge and 81/100 in the relay round, bringing home first place.
