A Milestone in Redlands
Redlands Coast Distillery, the first legal distillery in Redlands, is marking its first anniversary at its Capalaba location on 10th August. This milestone celebrates a year of creating exquisite gin, whisky, liqueurs, and vodka, all crafted with a commitment to local ingredients and flavours.
From Entertainment to Distillation
Founded by a family with 20 years of experience in the entertainment sector, the switch to distilling was both a passion endeavour and a response to the challenges of Covid 19.
The pandemic’s impact on their prior business sparked the establishment of the distillery.
Despite regulatory roadblocks and supply chain hiccups, their determination resulted in the successful debut of their Signature Dry Gin, which is flavoured with native botanicals and inspired by the beauty of North Stradbroke Island.
The Big 70’s Bash
To commemorate their first year, Redlands Coast Distillery is hosting a 70’s ‘s-themed celebration.
From midday to 10 pm, guests can enjoy live music, including a solo performance by Chris McLaren and a lively set from “That 70’s Band”. The event promises a nostalgic trip with rock and disco hits from the 70s, complemented by 70’s ‘s-inspired cocktails and their renowned G&T’s.
A Community Celebration
This anniversary is not just a celebration for the distillery but for the entire Redlands community. With food trucks from SALTS and Bacchus Brewing Co, and a special dessert truck, the event promises to be a feast for all senses.
