The Redland City Council has voted to oppose the State Government’s supposed plans to declare a Priority Development Area (PDA) over the Southern Thornlands Potential Future Growth Area. The proposed PDA is situated between Woodlands Dr, Springacre Rd, Taylor Rd, Boundary Rd, Duncan Rd and Mount Cotton Rd.

There were over 220 complaints in 2022, with items like garden waste, household goods, building materials, and hazardous waste being illegally dumped.
