Thornlands has welcomed a fresh retail haven with the opening of Paradise Garden Shopping Village. Located at the corner of Boundary Road and Panorama Drive, the $70 million shopping precinct was officially launched on 3rd May.

This new community hub offers a one-stop destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment for the local community.

A Vibrant Retail Hub

Paradise Garden Shopping Village features a full-line Coles supermarket and Liquorland, along with various speciality stores set to open soon, such as Hive Salons, Ha’ne Sushi, TSG, KFC, and a BP Fuel station.

Local residents are invited to visit the centre and support the Rotary Club of Cleveland’s community BBQ, running from 10 am to 2 pm on opening day.

Preserving Local Heritage

The village’s development was a collaboration between the local Wong family, who have owned the 6.25-hectare site for over 50 years, property development specialists, Development Directive, and award-winning architects, Cottee Parker.

The design maintains the site’s heritage and pays homage to the Traditional Owners, the Quandamooka People, through plaques and displays on the grounds.

More Than Just a Shopping Centre

Geoff Rolandsen from Development Directive highlighted the centre’s mission to emulate the fond memories many Brisbane families have of the former ‘Round Shop.’

With approximately 7,700 square metres of retail and commercial space, 400 easy-access car parks, and over 240 new retail jobs, the centre is set to be a hub for community connection and opportunity.

Paradise Garden Shopping Village’s arrival marks an exciting chapter for Thornlands, with its focus on creating a vibrant and welcoming destination for all residents and visitors.
