The near-retiree secured $1,247,390.16 after holding one of five division one winning entries nationally on 26 September 2026.
He had missed several calls before checking his ticket and finding all six winning numbers on one line.

“It’s very good, but it’s hard to let it sink in! You always think something like this would never happen to you. I have a lump in my throat right now and I can’t think properly!”

“Things are tough at the moment, so we feel incredibly fortunate,” the winner said. “We’re not going to do anything for a few weeks. We need to get over the shock first. I’m at retirement age but still working. This could finally give us some security and help us look towards retirement!”
