Stay Informed and Stay Safe: Sign Up for Redlands Coast Alerts for Emergency Notifications

Before the summer storm and bushfire season, people on the Redlands Coast are encouraged to sign up for the Council’s free emergency notification messaging service.

MULTI-CHANNEL APPROACH

Redlands Coast Alerts sends out numerous alerts to registered residents, including community alerts for potentially harmful weather, flood warnings for specific local roads, and Bureau of Meteorology warnings and alerts through email. Residents must stay informed through various channels, including Redlands Coast Alerts, the Bureau of Meteorology, and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.

STAY INFORMED

Subscriptions to Redlands Coast Alerts enable the Local Disaster Management Group to deliver targeted emails and text messages to specified locations, a function that was used during the 2020 SMBI water outage. To receive these communications, residents must input their addresses correctly.

The Redlands Coast Alerts notification service is not intended to substitute for the National Emergency Alert System, a telephone-based emergency warning system utilised by emergency agencies.
