St Rita’s isn’t just about learning indoors. Students enjoy outdoor learning surrounded by shaded trees and nature. The school’s Year 6 Leadership Program, rooted in the values of Faith, Love, Service, and Hope, builds character and responsibility through real contributions to the school community. “We are planting seeds for future growth,” Mulhearn said.
“The InitiaLit program gives students the tools for success while giving educators a long-term view of development.”
The program enhances phonics skills, building confidence in reading and writing.
St Rita’s also supports service learning, with students involved in projects like Caritas’ Project Compassion and St Vincent de Paul fundraising.

Parents like Linda Leigh, who has four children at the school, choose St Rita’s for its strong sense of faith and community.
“I chose St Rita’s Primary School for its strong community, connection with the Parish, and the opportunity for my children to complete their sacramental programs with their peers,” she said.
“I wanted to provide them with an education rooted in values, morals, and a relationship with Jesus Christ.”
In 2025, St Rita’s is expanding its extracurriculars and music opportunities through the Creative Kids program, which includes drums, guitar, percussion, strings, flute, and clarinet. “Our instrumental program is also getting a tune-up!” Mulhearn shared. “There is something for every budding musician to explore.”
