Share your time and friendship with Circle of Men

Circle Of Men Mission Statement “To help create an environment for the wellbeing and happiness of men in aged care facilities.”

What’s happening?

Circle of Men is welcoming new volunteers to join its weekly companionship program, dedicated to supporting elderly men in selected nursing homes across Redland City and Brisbane’s southern suburbs.

The program’s mission is simple and heartfelt:  “To help create an environment for the wellbeing and happiness of men in aged care facilities.”

Circle of Men

Every week, small groups of trained volunteers visit aged care facilities on a two-hour roster. The visits are filled with conversation, laughter, and connection, making a real difference to the lives of residents. Volunteers also find the experience deeply rewarding.

Why it matters

Friendship and connection can brighten someone’s day. By giving just two hours a week, volunteers bring companionship to men who benefit greatly from regular visits. It’s also a chance to be part of something meaningful, sharing time and stories together.

Local impact

The program doesn’t just support residents. It also looks after volunteers. Every Thursday morning, from 8.00 am to 10.00 am, volunteers gather at Brown’s Bakery Café in Cleveland. These informal catch-ups are a time for camaraderie, friendship, and enjoying each other’s company in a relaxed setting.
