What’s happening?
Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) will commence critical repair works at the One Mile Jetty (also known as Yabby Street Jetty) in Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island, starting the week of 14 July 2025. The project, led by South-East Queensland-based specialist contractor Mitchell Marine Constructions Pty Ltd, will address multiple structural issues to ensure the facility remains safe and functional for the island’s boating and fishing community. “These important works will ensure the jetty remains fit for purpose and is safe for all users for years to come,” an MSQ spokesperson said.
