What’s Happening?
The Young Entrepreneur Summit will bring Redlands Coast students together to explore innovation, business ideas and leadership.
Redland City Council is supporting YES Redlands with the Australian School of Entrepreneurship and Advance Queensland, Queensland Government. The program will combine keynote presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops. Local student business owners will also share their experiences.
Why It Matters?
The summit will help young people develop practical skills for employment, training and starting a business. Sessions will cover public speaking, entrepreneurship, networking, financial literacy, ideation, collaboration and teamwork.
Council said its support reflects the city’s Economic Development Strategy and its focus on stronger youth pathways.
Local Impact
Redlands Coast students will hear from local peers who have started and now run their own businesses.
The summit will also feature entrepreneur Steve Baxter, a former panel member on the television program Shark Tank. Together, these speakers will connect local experience with wider business knowledge and practical advice.
