Redlands Coast Gears Up for a Joyous Christmas Celebration

Redland City – Residents of Redlands Coast are in for a delightful holiday season as the City Council has announced a lineup of family-friendly Christmas celebrations and vibrant markets to spread festive cheer throughout the community.

Redlands Coast Christmas Council Events & Markets

Redland City Mayor, Karen Williams, expressed the Council’s excitement in contributing to an extra-special Christmas celebration for locals. The city will come alive with a variety of events organised and supported by the Council, providing numerous opportunities for families and friends to come together in the spirit of the season.

Christmas Festivities and Events

The festivities kick off with the Council-sponsored Mt Cotton Christmas in the Park on Sunday, November 26th, from 3 pm to 7:30 pm at Mt Cotton Community Park. This free event, hosted by Mount Cotton Community Fellowship, promises a community-centric atmosphere with local vendors, rides, and family entertainment.

Other activities

The annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree will take place on December 1st from 5 pm to 8:30 pm at Raby Bay Harbour Park, marking the traditional start of Redlands Coast’s Christmas season. The event will feature live entertainment, photos with Santa, and a screening of the Christmas movie “The Santa Claus” from 7 pm.

Council’s flagship event, Christmas by Starlight, will make a grand return on Saturday, December 16th, from 3 pm to 8:30 pm at Norm Price Park – Redland Showgrounds, Cleveland. This free, one-evening extravagansa expects to draw over 10,000 people with local talent, fun children’s activities, and an array of merchandise and food stalls.

  • Coochiemudlo Island Christmas Markets on November 26th.

  • Redlands Coast Collective Markets (Arts & Crafts Christmas Market) on December 10th at Faith Lutheran College
  • Thornlands, Cleveland Markets (Christmas Market) on December 10th, 17th, and 24th
  • Point Lookout Markets (Christmas Market) on December 24th at Point Lookout Bowls Club, North Stradbroke Island
