The 13-year-old singer-songwriter’s journey to Japan follows a successful tour of five cities in May, where he performed 12 shows and even had the honour of meeting with two mayors.
Jake’s visit to Japan proved to be a milestone in his career, as he appeared on cable television in Tokyo and was featured in a major news publication. During his time in Japan, he recorded the vibrant and catchy pop song “Every1 Loves U,” along with its accompanying music video, which he will unveil upon his return.
Reflecting on his musical inspiration, Jake revealed that he wrote “Every1 Loves U” specifically for his Japanese audience, where he enjoys a solid fan base on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Embracing the energetic and upbeat style preferred by his Japanese fans, Jake expressed how the song’s high energy perfectly resonates with their tastes.
Back home, Jake’s musical journey continues flourishing as he collaborates on a second song with Andrew Farriss. Their first song together has been registered at 50/50 with Apra Amcos, an incredible feat for the young artist. The collaboration with the legendary Andrew Farriss, known for his association with INXS, showcases Jake’s undeniable talent and potential in the music industry.
Beyond recording sessions and collaborations, Jake has also showcased his skills on stage, performing twice with Andrew and his band. The 13-year-old prodigy even had the honour of staying at Andrew’s home for three days of recording in October last year, a testament to the respect he has earned from Australia’s music royalty.
Notably, Jake is slated to perform at this year’s Redfest, taking centre stage at 2.45 pm on September 2. He will also entertain audiences at the Matsuri Japanese festival on the same day, allowing his fans to experience his talent firsthand.
Marking his regular song release tradition on the 20th of every month, Jake will offer “Every1 Loves U” as a free download starting August 20, complete with English and Japanese versions.
