Redland City Minute Rises to Fill the Void Left by the Bulletin

The Redland City community recently bid farewell to the Redland City Bulletin, a cherished local newspaper that has faithfully served the area for 38 years. Editor Craig Thomson and journalists Emily Lowe and Jordi Crick have provided the Redlands with exceptional coverage of local news, events, and stories. As they say goodbye, we at the Redland City Minute want to acknowledge their outstanding work and dedication to the community.

Whilst we recognise the great contributions of the Redland City Bulletin, we also realise that its closure creates a void in the Redlands.

A community as vibrant and connected as ours deserves to have a trusted source of local news and updates.

That is why we are proud to introduce the Redland City Minute, a digital news source that aims not only to fill the gap left by the Redland City Bulletin but also to surpass its reach and impact.

The Redland City Minute will be available across our website, podcasts, and YouTube channel, with our weekly newsletter being the main piece of content.

We are committed to providing you with the latest news, events, and stories from our beautiful region.

Our team is dedicated to keeping politicians accountable, championing local businesses, people, and organisations, and reporting on community milestones—just as the city’s Bulletin did.

As a digital platform, we have the unique opportunity to provide more comprehensive and timely coverage of local news and events. We believe that our digital-first approach will enable us to engage with the Redlands community more effectively, reaching a wider audience and responding more quickly to breaking news.

We invite you, the Redland City community, to join us as we embark on this exciting new journey. The Redland City Minute is here to serve you, just as the Redland City Bulletin did for nearly four decades. Our mission is to provide you with a reliable and engaging source of local news and stories that matter to you.

Let’s come together to celebrate the legacy of the Redland City Bulletin and welcome the Redland City Minute into our lives. Together, we can ensure that the spirit of local journalism continues to thrive in our beautiful corner of Australia.
