What’s happening?

The 2025 Strike A Chord National Final ended with a Queensland triumph. On 31 August, Musica Viva Australia announced The IncrediBows as the Robert Salzer First Prize winners, taking home $5,000.

Why it matters

Since 2020, Strike A Chord has opened the stage for school-aged chamber groups, giving young musicians a platform to perform and connect. More than just a contest, it is about discovering the joy of music with friends and being celebrated for talent and commitment.

Local impact

The IncrediBows’ story began in 2022 when four childhood friends united their love for music into a quartet. Coached by Tim Li, they were finalists in their first year. By 2024, as the core of Take Six, they claimed second prize. This year, they reached the top, showing how persistence and teamwork shape musical journeys in Queensland.
