What’s happening?
Gracie Barra Capalaba is hosting a free Anti-Bullying and Confidence-Building Workshop for children aged 6–12 on Saturday, 19 July 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The hands-on session will be held at the academy’s location on Redland Bay Road, Capalaba.
Registration is essential. Families can register via info@gbcapalaba.com or visit www.gbcapalaba.com.au.
Why it matters: Bullying remains one of the top concerns for Redlands families. This program gives children the tools to respond safely and confidently.
It focuses on:
-
Avoidance, de-escalation, and verbal assertiveness – how to stand up without escalating.
-
Safe physical skills – age-appropriate Jiu-Jitsu techniques to break holds and seek help.
-
Resilience coaching – turning bystanders into upstanders.
“Parents leave with a take-home guide, allowing the conversation to continue long after the workshop,” organisers said.
