What’s happening
The Wynnum Ambulance Museum will open its doors to the public this Sunday, 21 September, from 10am to 1pm at 31–33 Tingal Road, Wynnum. The museum is a treasure trove of Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Ambulance Transport Brigade memorabilia spanning the past 133 years.
Why it matters
The Wynnum Ambulance Museum showcases the history of ambulance services in Queensland from the early 1900s to today. Visitors can see refurbished vintage ambulance vehicles, past uniforms, and early forms of ambulance communications. The open day provides a free and educational opportunity for families and history enthusiasts.

Local impact
Located in a heritage-listed building, the museum offers a chance for people of all ages to learn directly from Queensland Ambulance Service history experts and local volunteers. A highlight includes exploring a 1930s-style casualty and communication room.
