Backlash has ensued following the recent directive from Redland City Council to remove several canoes from island sites on Karragarra, Macleay, and Coochiemudlo.

Redland councillors will now be subject to drug and alcohol testing if there is suspicion of substance use while on the job, following the adoption of a new policy for elected representatives.

Redland City Council has dedicated a budget of $365,000 in the upcoming 2023-2024 community budget to expand the successful solar bin trial and implement it throughout the entirety of Redlands Coast.

The burn will occur between Tuesday, June 13th, and Friday, June 16th, 2023, subject to favourable weather conditions. Preparations for the burn will occur in the days leading up to the scheduled dates, which involve clearing vegetation around significant logs and habitat trees.
