Coolnwynpin State School students are trading screen time for green time, learning lawn bowls at Capalaba Sports Club as part of Queensland’s Community Club Awareness Week.

Redland City Council is embarking on a $45 million Digital Transformation Program in partnership with TechnologyOne.

As part of the Capalaba Town Centre Revitalisation, the local library will move to Capalaba Central Shopping Centre in late 2024. The new library will be a key feature of the revitalised area, offering modern facilities as part of the $250 million project. Construction kicks off in early 2025.

As of September 1, new laws have come into effect across Queensland aimed at curbing knife crime. Retailers are now prohibited from selling knives to anyone under 18 and must display clear signage about these age restrictions. Additionally, certain controlled items, like double-edged knives and machetes, must be securely stored.

Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) is set to come alive once again with the return of the Quandamooka Music & Cultural Festival.

The Australian Red Cross Lifeblood urgently needs 8,500 donors after the recent cold and flu season prompted a record number of appointment cancellations.
