What’s happening?

Bakers Delight is marking 25 years of its Pink Bun campaign in support of Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), with pink buns on sale from 1 to 21 May 2025. On Friday, 9 May, Double Donation Day will see all sales of Fun Bun 6 Packs matched dollar-for-dollar by Bakers Delight.

Why it matters

Breast cancer remains one of Australia’s most prevalent health concerns, affecting more than 21,000 people each year. Every Pink Bun sale helps ensure BCNA continues to support those diagnosed with breast cancer through information, care, and advocacy.

Local Impact

Redland City bakeries are once again proudly supporting the cause. Locals can grab their Pink Buns from Bakers Delight at Victoria Point, Capalaba Central, or Cleveland Central. “We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, including some of our bakers and staff, and the pink buns start some important conversations,” said Joint CEO Elise Gillespie.

By the Numbers

  • Over $27 million raised across 25 years to support BCNA’s programs.

  • More than 500 bakeries across Australia donate time and products to the campaign.

  • BCNA represents over 175,000 Australians and aims to raise $2.5 million in 2025 alone.

Zoom In

“Pink Buns for BCNA is part of the organisation’s DNA,” said Elise Gillespie. “We are keeping our Pinky Promise because breast cancer isn’t done yet, and neither are we.” Each six-pack of Pink Buns costs $8.50, with all proceeds going to BCNA. On 9 May, the impact will double, with Bakers Delight matching every Fun Bun 6 Pack sale.

Zoom Out

Breast Cancer Network Australia CEO Kirsten Pilatti acknowledged the authenticity of the long-standing partnership: “This is a Pinky Promise that has been made and kept for 25 years. Pink Buns taste great and importantly enable us to be a powerful voice and support for Australians affected by breast cancer that is truly amazing.”

What to Look for Next
