Carmel College Principal Stephen Adair said the intake is highly unusual.

“This is really quite extraordinary and certainly not something I have seen at Carmel College Thornlands before – or in my career to date,” he said.

“From identical duos to fraternal siblings, the 12 students are already making history at the College,” he said.

“It’s not every day that you see so many pairs of twins start in one cohort.”

“Their unique bonds, shared experiences, and individual strengths will bring a wonderful energy to the 2026 Year 7 cohort.

“Together, they will enrich our school community with twice the enthusiasm, twice the creativity, and twice the spirit of collaboration.

“What an exciting journey ahead for them, and for all of us who get to share it with them.”

What to look for next?

As the school year continues, the College community will watch the Year 7 cohort settle into classes, house groups, and daily school life.
