What’s happening?
Landmarks across Australia and New Zealand will light up purple and blue for Feeding Tube Awareness Week, running from 1 to 7 February 2026.
In Redlands, the Cleveland Lighthouse will illuminate purple on Tuesday, 3 February as part of the national #FTAWLightUp campaign.
The week raises awareness of tube feeding and supports people who rely on enteral nutrition at all stages of life.
Why it matters
Tube feeding provides essential nutrition for people who cannot eat or drink by mouth, or who need extra support.
Feeding Tube Awareness Week helps break down stigma, share clear information, and connect families, carers, and individuals with trusted resources.
The campaign is hosted in Australia and New Zealand by ausEE Inc., a national patient advocacy group.
Local impact
The Redlands Coast will show visible support through the Cleveland Lighthouse, with thanks to Redland City Council.
Residents are encouraged to visit the lighthouse on the night, take photos safely, and share them online using #FTAWLightUp, #FTAW2026, and #TubieTuesday.

Zoom in
The campaign colours carry meaning. Purple reflects the common colour of feeding tube supplies.
Blue represents what flows through the tube, including formula, blended foods, breastmilk, or water.
ausEE Inc. CEO Sarah Gray explains, “Purple is a common colour of feeding tube supplies, while blue represents what flows through the tube.”
Zoom out
Throughout the week, ausEE will share #MyTubie stories across social media, highlighting people of different ages who rely on tube feeding.
A free Virtual Education Program will also run, with daily video content from specialists and people with lived experience.
Jessie, who is part of the 2026 campaign, says, “At the time, a feeding tube felt like the beginning of the end. But now I know better. It was, in fact, the beginning of living.”
