What’s Happening?
Botanix is preparing to deliver a new neighbourhood park in the south-west corner of its site, located at the corner of Pitt Road and Nelson Road in Wellington Point. With the master plan shaped by the community, the focus now turns to this park, designed to be enjoyed by everyone from long-standing neighbours to future Botanix residents.
Community feedback during the master plan stage was clear: people wanted places to gather, play, and connect with nature. Botanix is now inviting locals to share their ideas in a short survey, open until 12pm on 19 October 2025.
Why It Matters
This park is one of the most important community features of the Botanix project. It will reflect the vision shared by Redlands residents since consultation began in 2022 through the Future of Home and Botanix Reimagined initiatives. Feedback from this survey will help landscape architects prepare a draft concept design, which will later be reviewed by the community.

Local Impact
The park is being shaped as a community asset for Wellington Point and the wider Redlands. Community priorities have included vibrant social hubs, opportunities for play that connect with nature, preservation of open green space, and pathways linking into the broader neighbourhood.
By the Numbers
-
70% of respondents asked for spaces to gather, such as picnic and family areas.
-
56% of the community wanted walking and cycling pathways linking the park to Wellington Point.
-
The park design is scheduled for completion in early to mid-2026, with construction subject to approvals in mid to late 2027.
Zoom In
During engagement, three consistent themes emerged. Residents wanted places to gather and socialise, a strong focus on play including adventure play, and preservation of the natural character of the site. Connected pathways were also a priority, creating stronger links to the surrounding Wellington Point community.
Zoom Out
The creation of Botanix began in 2022 with conversations involving hundreds of Redlands residents. Engagement through the Future of Home and Botanix Reimagined helped shape the master plan. This next stage, focused on the neighbourhood park, moves the project closer to construction.
What to Look For Next
The community’s survey feedback will inform the draft concept plan for the park. Once prepared, the concept will be shared in a second phase of engagement for further community input before progressing to Council.
