What’s happening?
Ageing Australia has announced the finalists for the 2025 You are ACE! Awards ahead of Aged Care Employee Day on Thursday 7 August. The awards are a national celebration of excellence, innovation and heart in aged care, retirement living and seniors housing. More than 500 nominations came in from across the country and 52 finalists have been named.
Ageing Australia CEO Tom Symondson said, “We’ve had a tremendous number of people nominated this year, which speaks volumes about the dedication across our sector.”
He also said, “During a time of major reform, more people than ever are working incredibly hard to support older Australians, and the You are ACE! Awards are our chance to recognise, celebrate and thank those making a real difference every day.”
Why it matters?
These awards highlight how care teams and services in the Redlands are making a lasting difference. They show that innovation and teamwork in local aged care help shape better lives for older people.
Local Impact
Three teams from the Redlands have been named among this year’s finalists.
• Infinite Care Cornubia Team is a finalist in the Team Innovation category for its work at Cornubia.
• Killara Respite Centre Team is recognised in the Team Consumer Focus and Care category for its efforts in Cleveland.
• Moopi Moopi Team from St Vincent’s Care Services is listed in the Team Teamwork category for its work on North Stradbroke Island.
