Halcyon Bayside redefines over-50s living

What’s happening?

Stockland has officially unveiled plans for Halcyon Bayside, its most ambitious and luxurious over-50s community to date. Set across 43 hectares in Redland Bay, the $500 million-plus masterplanned project is expected to deliver 536 architecturally designed homes and a $35 million lifestyle precinct overlooking Moreton Bay.

Why it matters

This development is poised to transform Redland Bay into a national benchmark for lifestyle-focused communities catering to the over-50s market. As Stockland Project Director Glenn Nugent said, “This community has been in design for almost 10 years, reflecting a high level of thought and care to create something new for Redland Bay and suburbs such as Clontarf, Manly or Victoria Point – setting a new benchmark for over-50s living nationally.”

With a blend of sea change and tree change appeal and close proximity to Brisbane, Halcyon Bayside targets active downsizers seeking luxury, connection, and low-maintenance living.

Local Impact

Redland Bay residents can expect new employment, infrastructure, and lifestyle opportunities tied to the project’s long-term development. The community is located beside the Stockland Shoreline development, reinforcing Redlands’ role as a growth area for lifestyle-focused living.

The design of The Sailhouse clubhouse takes inspiration from the bay itself, with sculptural stone sails marking its entrance. The wellness-focused amenities cater to health-conscious over-50s. Homes will be built with premium finishes, energy efficiency in mind, and a choice of two- or three-bedroom layouts.

What to Look for Next

Expressions of interest are now open, with public information sessions scheduled for August 2025. The first release of 26 homes is due in September, with construction starting mid-2026 and the first residents moving in by 2027.
