Redlands Tigers have been promoted into the Girls Under 16 competition for the 2025/26 season, completing the full lineup of all 12 Premier Clubs now competing in Women’s Premier Cricket.

Redlands’ promotion is the result of years of strategic work through their Female Development Plan, which has laid a foundation for sustainable growth of the women’s game in the Bayside region.
Queensland Cricket’s Head of Elite Cricket Operations, Nick Stuart, said: “Redlands has demonstrated strong growth in the development of young players and pathways within the Bayside region, as well as the stability of female cricket leaders guiding their program.”
“This next step is really exciting for their region and reflects the club’s dedication and willingness to engage with their Female Action Plan journey.”
Club President Sean Lloyd expressed the club’s pride: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be promoted to Women’s Premier Cricket. This milestone is a huge achievement for our club and an important step towards expanding opportunities for young female cricketers across our region.”
Redlands also has infrastructure plans underway to further support the growth of female cricket: “As part of our Female Development Plan, we have plans with the Queensland Government to deliver a new change room facility at Ron Field Oval and install game lighting at Peter Burge Oval, which will support the sustainable growth of female cricket in the future.”
