What’s happening?

SeaLink South East Queensland is set to launch a state-of-the-art vehicle ferry in February 2025 to service the Southern Moreton Bay Islands (SMBI). Designed for increased capacity, safety, and passenger comfort, the ferry aims to meet the demands of the region’s growing population.

Ben Renwick, General Manager of SeaLink South East Queensland, stated, “The introduction of our newest ferry reinforces our long-term commitment to the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, ensuring a reliable and efficient transport service that meets the needs of the growing community.”

  • 199 passengers plus crew capacity.
  • 38-40 standard cars, two truck lanes, and four car lanes.
  • 44.9m long and 16.5m wide, designed by Sea Transport and built by Harwood Marine in Yamba, NSW.
