What’s Happening?
Dementia Australia’s largest annual fundraising event, Memory Walk & Jog, will take place on Sunday, 8 June 2025, at Rocks Riverside Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks, Brisbane.
The event invites walkers, runners, and joggers to get active for brain health while raising funds to support people living with dementia, their families, and carers.
Why it Matters?
Dementia is the second leading cause of death for Australians, affecting more than 421,000 people and their 1.6 million carers.
Events like Memory Walk & Jog not only provide essential funding for education, support, and research but also promote awareness and create a supportive environment for families touched by dementia.
Local Impact
Queensland, with a strong tradition of community spirit, is being called to action by Dementia Australia

The Brisbane region alone has more than 16,941 people living with dementia, making this event a critical local initiative.
